One thing I genuinely appreciated about Chernobyl was that they explained the science behind the disaster in a way that (IMO) the average person could understand. Even if they weren’t familiar with the science behind nuclear power.

Authorities in Tennessee are reviewing all pending cases involving a Knox County Sheriff’s Office detective after he gave a sermon at his church that called for the government to execute members of the LGBTQ community.
“They are worthy of death,” Grayson Fritts said in a June 2 sermon at All Scripture Baptist Church, a small church in Knoxville that he leads.
The church posted the sermon online and then removed it, according to The Washington Post. The video was picked up by the Tennessee Holler, an independent liberal news outlet, and edited into a six-minute clip.
“God has instilled the power of civil government to send the police in 2019 out to the LGBT freaks and arrest them and have a trial for them, and if they are convicted, then they are to be put to death,” he said in the clip.
Fritts said it would be easy to find people to arrest at events such as gay pride parades.

I go to In-N-Out when I want a salad on a bun (not a bad thing), Whataburger when I want a burger stand burger, Culver’s when I want custard, Dairy Queen when I want steak fingers, Five Guys if I want to be adventurous with the toppings, and I’m still not done with burger restaurants in town.

Yeah- I live in CU, and I can say it’s been a pretty horrifying thing seeing it all unfold. Especially given the apparent defense is going to be “he was depressed.”
I mean, I’ve struggled with depression and dysphoric mania my whole life, and never once did I think, “hey, I should visit a horrifying atrocity on some completely random person.” The evidence regarding the CCTV footage alone was stomach churning. It really brings home the fact that we are, all of us, just one bad day away from a nightmare.
